Sabre Wing Press

Sabre Wing Press is an independent publishing imprint dedicated to stories that explore aviation history, service, and the human experiences shaped by moments of technological change.

The imprint focuses on historical fiction and narrative works that illuminate overlooked chapters of aviation and military history—particularly the individuals whose lives were shaped by periods of rapid technological transformation.

Many of these stories exist only in personal archives, family memories, and fading recollections. Sabre Wing Press was created to help bring such stories into print and preserve them for future generations.

First Publication

Sabre Wing Press launches with the novel Before Falcons Flew: The Forgotten Story of an Aviation Cadet.

Inspired by the life of a Korean War–era aviator, the novel follows a young man who leaves Hawaii’s sugar plantation communities to pursue his dream of flight through the demanding U.S. Air Force Aviation Cadet Program during the early years of the jet age.

The story reflects both a personal family history and a broader historical moment, when a new generation of pilots entered the skies during a period of profound technological change.

Publication is planned for Veterans Day 2026.

Future Titles

Sabre Wing Press is intended as a long-term publishing effort focused on aviation history and related themes.

Future projects may include:

• additional works of historical fiction
• narratives drawn from personal aviation histories
• commemorative editions and archival storytelling projects

The goal of the imprint is to ensure that important personal histories connected to aviation and service are preserved and shared with new audiences.
