Before Falcons Flew
The Forgotten Story of an Aviation Cadet

Veterans Day Week, November 2026

The publication of Before Falcons Flew is planned to coincide with Veterans Day 2026, honoring the generation whose lives and experiences shaped the novel.

While we often think about the dangers of combat, less attention is given to how dangerous it was to prepare for it. For those who carried aviation from the propeller era into the jet age, training meant flying at the edge of rapidly evolving technology—where not all made it through.

A Story That Connects Generations

Inspired by the life of a Korean War–era aviator who grew up in Hawaii’s plantation communities, the event brings forward a personal history that remained largely unspoken for decades—until now.
